Clinical #4

My client this week provided a lot of oporunity for learning. I had a psych patient for the first time. She had sufered a CVA that had caused several neurological dysfunctions both physically and emotionally. Her history of depression seemed to be exasserbated by the anxiety assosiated with a possible fall or other accident. I only make that obsevation because she busted out crying at least 5 imes over the course of 8 hours. I am so tired I can't write anymore. Clinical #4 a challenge.

Assessment

Clinical was awesome this week!! I loved my patient because she was very sweet and compliant with all of my requests for her assessment. She enjoyed the personal attention and I enjoyed having plenty of time to spend making her comfortable. I got to see her skin grafts which was really cool as well as help her with a bed bath and OT. I did not get to give a bath last week so it worked out great!! Can't wait  for my next patient.

Meds

I really enjoy my lab class. Ms. Brown does a really good job of making our work fun and informative. I am a little slower on the math than others, but I come out with the right answers which is really the  most important thing. I look forward to administering meds. I also can't wait to learn to do IV's. Fun!!!
